Choreographers, dancers, teaching staff, producers and other contemporary dance professionals from Baltic countries are invited to participate in Baltic Bubble Riga 2013 programme which will take place in Riga during March 13th -17th 2013.<\/p>\n
The programme aims to introduce participants with contemporary dance scene in each country \u2013 Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, in order to facilitate exchange of opinions and offer a platform for new contacts and collaborations. Based on applications 15 participants from three Baltic countries \u2013 Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, will be selected.<\/p>\n
Baltic Bubble Riga 2013 programme:<\/p>\n
1) overview of contemporary dance scene in context of culture policy of each country, including organisational and financial questions, as well as historical development\u2019s aspects:<\/p>\n

2) contemporary dance scene\u2019s artistic landscape and developments in each country:<\/p>\n
– Evelin Lagle, dance critic and theoretician, Estonia;<\/p>\n
– Inta Balode, dance critic, editor in chief of e-magazine Dance.lv, Latvia;<\/p>\n
– Vita Mozuraite, dance critic, associated professor at Vilnius University Communications department, Lithuania;<\/p>\n
3) latest information about international cooperation projects and networks in the region in contemporary dance field, as well as about possibilities to receive financial support for creation of new partnerships and strengthening the existing ones.<\/p>\n
4) performances of the youngest generation of the Baltic contemporary dance artists and informal meetings with the artistic teams:<\/p>\n

Requirements to applicants:<\/p>\n
– lives and works in one of the three Baltic countries \u2013 Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania;<\/p>\n
– has at least one year professional experience in contemporary dance field and current occupation is directly related to performing arts;<\/p>\n
– ability to communicate orally and in writing in English, to understand others and express own opinion;<\/p>\n
– readiness and ability to participate in the programme full time, i.e. without exception take part in all programme\u2019s activities during march 13th-16th, 2013.<\/p>\n
Financial and organisational provision: organisers will cover travel costs and will ensure accommodation, meals, local transportation, as well as free entrance to performances scheduled in the programme.<\/p>\n
