In mid-September 2012, the Baltic dance platform, The Baltic Bubble, will bring to Tallinn together a selection of the most remarkable contemporary dance creators of the Baltic States with the wish to give the audience an insight to the hallmarks of the contemporary dance scene of the region today. Latvia will be represented by performance “Sarah Kane” (M?rti?\u0161 Eihe, Krist?ne Borodina, Aigars Apinis, Edgars Rubenis) and choreogrpaher Sintija Sili?a participating in residency program (both the sharing of residency results and showing of “Sarah Kane” will take place on Spetember 19).<\/p>\n
The city will be teeming with dance artists. The Baltic Bubble <\/a>takes place from September 18-20 in the frame of the Nordic dance network ke\u00f0ja encounter, giving the Estonian dance artists community the pleasure to host Nordic and Baltic dancers, choreographers, dance teachers, dance critics, producers-managers and other dance related people in Estonia. More information about the encounter at www.tantsuliit.ee\/kedja<\/a>.<\/p>\n The series of ke\u00f0ja lectures, workshops and seminar evenings will round off with a parade of riveting works by M?rti?\u0161 Eihe from Latvia, Agnija \u0160eiko and Jonas Sakalauskas from Lithuania, and Mart Kangro, Kenneth Flack, Krista K\u00f6ster and Kristina Pa\u0161kevi?ius from Estonia.<\/p>\n In addition to the programme of performances, the dance artists\u2019 creative vigor will find expression in a residency. The residency brings together three choreographers, one from each Baltic State, with the aim to find out if the Baltic dance artists want to collaborate, if the regional proximity is a reason strong enough for a collaboration, and if a similar geopolitical background unites people and their thoughts.
